Bareminerals Poreless Exfoliating Essence Review

I have always enjoyed Bareminerals skincare, gentle and kind my skin has always appreciated it! They recently released their Poreless Collection consisting of three products to target and minimise pores whilst being gentle and beneficial to our skin. The Poreless Exfoliating Essence caught my eye, I have been looking for a gentle everyday exfoliant that won’t irritate my sensitive skin and decided to give it a try!

Bareminerals Poreless Exfoliating Essence

The Poreless Exfoliating Essence promises to:

  • Reduce the appearance of pores
  • Smooth the skins appearance
  • Reduce excess oil
  • Leave the skin with a healthy glow

As with all Bareminerals products the formula is full of great ingredients! superfruit acids for gentle exfoliation and prebiotics to boost our skins health:

  • Bilberry, Noni Fruit, Orange and Lemon extracts to target and reduce the appearance of pores
  • Chia Seed Extract to reduce the appearance of shine and excess oil
  • Sugar Cane and Sugar Maple to boost and protect healthy skin
Poreless Exfoliating Essence

The Poreless Exfoliating Essence comes packaged in a bottle which dispenses the essence through the lid easily onto a cotton pad. The formula is a lightweight cloudy white liquid which is scentless, I was really pleased to discover this as my skin is less tolerant with fragrances more now than ever, my skin and I are not as young as we used to be!

The formula is a white liquid

When the Exfoliating Essence comes into contact with my skin it immediately feels cooling and soothing, a refreshing part of my skincare routine. I find a few drops on a cotton pad is sufficient for my personal preference. It does not feel rough nor does it cause my skin to tingle which I have experienced from other liquid exfoliators, it is comfortable to use. Although it is a gentle formula (as expected from Bareminerals!) do not be fooled as it does remove dead skin easily and effectively.

A soothing part of my skincare

I have been using the Poreless Exfoliating Essence for 6 weeks as part of my morning and evening routine and am really pleased with the results I have been getting. It immediately leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, a great base for my morning makeup! I have normal to combination skin, currently leaning more to the dry side this Winter and I have really noticed an improvement in the dry skin patches around my nose. I have visible pores on my nose which have reduced in appearance, overall my skin looks healthy and revitalised through continual use which is a welcome change this Winter!

The Poreless Exfoliating Essence (£22.00) is suitable for all skin types and is cruelty free. It is available directly from Bareminerals, Boots and retail stockists.

Have a great week everyone! Sarah x

  1. I really need to try this, my pores have become really open since being pregnant and my base makeup looks horrible over the top! Need something to reduce the orange peel effect !!

  2. This looks fantastic! I am constantly looking for something to get rid of my enlarged pores but neither of the products is suitable for a dry skin and I usually end up with horrible dry patches. So thanks for sharing I will definitely take a look ❤️

  3. I love this review. Sounds like such a gentle essence. Always great to know what works on open pores as can be difficult to find a suitable product. Love that you found it to be soothing also. ❤
