Vieve Sunset Blush Review

I love a good blusher, if I had to pick five items in my makeup bag for life blusher would immediately be popped in without a second thought! I love an instant lift to my complexion and the right blush can lead to a beautiful long term relationship, like the one I have with coffee! Vieve caught my attention earlier this year and when they launched their blush collection I was pulled in!

Vieve Sunset Blush

Vieve was founded by makeup artist Jamie Genevieve who I have binge watched on YouTube for years! Vieve was created to encourage confidence and the positive impact makeup can have, encouraging creative individuality and inclusivity. The Sunset Blushers come in classic black and gold faux leather packaging, aesthetically pleasing it looks elegant on my dresser. The compact is magnetic and pops open to reveal a full sized mirror and blusher inside. I love how lightweight the packaging is and that the focus is on the blusher enclosed.

The compact contains a full sized mirror

The Sunset Blush promises to:

  • Give a natural flush appearance
  • Leave a soft satin finish
  • Highly pigmented delivering a gorgeous colour pay off
  • Be easy to blend and buildable to your preferred finish
  • A collection with a shade suitable for every skin tone

The formulas are made in Italy which I was very excited about! Free from fragrance and parabens they are cruelty free, vegan friendly and gluten free!

Classic Black and Gold packaging

The Sunset Blush collection was inspired by Italy and the beautiful Mediterranean sunsets. There are five shades in the collection:

  • Pesca – a beautiful soft peach and the lightest shade in the collection
  • Cherub – a univerally flattering soft pink
  • Sorbet – a vibrant complexion brightening coral
  • Piazza – a stunning antique rose to create a sun-kissed flush
  • Malbec – a beautiful deep berry and burgundy shade

I picked up Cherub, I was drawn to the beautiful warm pink and felt it would be perfect for Spring!

Beautifully Finely Milled

As a self confessed blush addict I have high expectations when it comes to my blushers and Vieve Sunset Blush has not disappointed! Cherub is a beautiful vibrant soft pink which instantly lifts my complexion and gives me a healthy appearance no matter how little rest I have had! The blush is finely milled and latches on to my makeup brush with ease. There is a small amount of kick back which I expected although nothing excessive to make the pan messy. It is richly pigmented and delivers a beautiful flush of colour with minimum effort, a light hand is all that is needed to achieve a natural sheer finish. Easily buildable I love how I can effortlessly get a more vibrant pop of colour in seconds without ever managing to look like clown which is a big win for me as I can get carried away applying my blush!.

Cherub sits beautifully on my skin appearing natural as opposed to chalky with a stunning matte satin finish that has the most beautiful hint of luminosity which really lifts my complexion. It works well on top of my foundations causing no movement to the product underneath and likewise works just as beautifully alone for a quick put together look when dashing out the door. It looks and feels like a second layer of skin melting into place and giving a beautiful blurred filter effect which doesn’t emphasise my pores. Comfortable and lightweight on the skin it is long lasting and stays in place all day which I was really impressed with as I currently am not setting my makeup. The formula is so soft and smooth I often pop a little on my lips for an easy monochrome look, I always like my beauty products to have multi uses!

The perfect Spring shade

I love the flattering finish of The Sunset Blush and with the versatility of Cherub it will work for all skin tones. A beautiful blush which I have not put down since it arrived and has a permanent place in my makeup bag!

.The Sunset Blush collection (£23.00) is available from Vieve and Cult Beauty*.
