Worth the Waitlist? Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer Review

I love a good bronzer and like many I avoid tanning my face and prefer to fake it. Charlotte Tilbury recently launched the Airbrush Bronzer, the newest addition to the Airbrush collection. I reach for my Airbrush Flawless Finish powder regularly, the finely milled powder is forgiving on my skin and I had everything crossed the Airbrush Bronzer would be the same!

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer

The Airbrush Bronzer comes in the beautiful well know rose gold packaging, the design is a stunning sunbeam which has an elegant and vintage feel. The compact is much larger than I anticipated (never a bad thing!) with 16 grams of product and a fab full sized mirror making it easy to apply and pop in my bag when on the go. I love that following the success of the refillable Hot Lips Two Collection the packaging has been designed to be refillable with the refillable pans being launched later this summer. I hope more sustainable packaging will be launched in the future!

Refillable Packaging

The Airbrush Bronzer has a matte finish and is available in four shades – fair, medium, tan and deep. I opted for medium choosing to go up a shade based on what I currently am wearing in foundation as I do love a gorgeous bronzed look! I have included both finger and arm swatches below.

The powder is gorgeously soft and silky to touch, you can imagine it melting into your skin! it contains some skin loving and flattering ingredients:

  • Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and moisturise the skin
  • Silky Mica treated with amino acids to smooth the skin
  • Silica for a velvety texture to create a soft-focused blurred appearance
  • Micro-fine perfecting powders for a thin, invisible filter on the skin whilst delivering coverage and colour
  • Magical Microspheres for a silky texture
A beautiful Sunbeam Design

The formula is gorgeously pigmented and applies easily, it blends like a dream and is buildable allowing me to achieve a sun kissed look without ever looking muddy or overdone. The formula is so finely milled, like the Airbrush Finishing Powder that inspired it, it is weightless and feels as though I am wearing nothing on my skin. Although the bronzer is matte the finish is not flat, it has a hint of lustre which lifts my skin leaving it with a warm and healthy appearance, as though I have returned from a lazy late afternoon on the beach (I can dream!).

The Airbrush Bronzer is the newest addition to the Flawless Family

It is a lovely forgiving bronzer, the closest you can get to a filter for your face! It blurs and disguises my pores and evens my complexion leaving it smooth and soft. The powder does not settle into my fine lines and being so light it never looks too much no matter how much I apply (I can get very carried away with bronzer!). It has great staying power and lasts all day. It can be used on both face and body, I like to add a little to my shoulders for some extra colour!

I have been using the Airbrush Bronzer for two weeks and the more I use it the more I love it. It gives a beautiful natural sun-kissed finish to my skin whilst still letting it breathe, perfect in the hot weather we had! It is a fool proof formula and gives me a gorgeous colour in seconds. I love that I can keep hold of the beautiful packaging and refill when I finish (it will take a while!). It gives me the same beautiful filtered finish as the loved Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder and they work beautifully in unison, leaving my complexion even whilst still looking natural, my skin but better!

The Airbrush Bronzer (£39.00) is available from Charlotte TilburyFeelunique*, Cult Beauty* and retail stockists.

  2. I’ve really been wanting this bronzer but I don’t think its deep enough for me. Well, it’s unfortunate. Great review though. It looks finely milled so it’ll apply very nicely.

  3. As I spend a lot of time in our garden, I have a natural sunkissed glow, despite wearing factor 50! But I know a lot of fair-skinned friends who would love this so I’ll be sharing your page with them, thank you 🙂 Lisa x
