The best of both? Rose Inc have recently launched their first eyeshadows, the Satin and Shimmer Duets. I love their minimalist approach to makeup and was eager to see how their eyeshadows perform. If you enjoy a cream and powder shadow keep reading for the details!
The Eyeshadow Duet comes in an elegant white compact which pops open to reveal the two eyeshadow pans which are a generous size. A lightweight compact it is great to pop in your makeup bag and includes a good sized mirror in the lid which I always appreciate. Sustainability is at the forefront of Rose Inc’s packaging and the compact is made from 50% post-consumer recycled plastic and is recyclable itself. It’s also refillable with refills available on their website!

As much as I love a large eyeshadow palette I enjoy the ease of a smaller compact where I can quickly create an effortless one and done look. I love the one cream, one powder concept as I enjoy both formulas and regularly mix and match from my collection. The Satin Copper cream shadow is silky smooth and easy to blend. I love how easy it is to build the colour from a sheer natural hint on the lid to a more intense pop of colour. Copper Shimmer gives an elegant finish, a subtle hint of sparkle which feels smooth and comfortable. I have experienced a small amount of fall out which personally doesn’t bother me. The powder applies beautifully and like the cream can be applied using a brush or your finger, personally I prefer to pat on using my finger.
The compact is much more versatile than I appreciated on first look and makes it easy to go from day to night glam in seconds. Both shadows give an even finish and layer beautifully together. The colour lasts well without creasing and removes easily with my normal cleanser. This is perfect for any minimalist makeup fan and has quickly become an everyday go to!
