Alpha H Liquid Gold is a much loved skincare essential for many and has been in my routine for more years than I can remember. Recently it has had a refresh in the form of the Liquid Gold Rose being added to the family. As a fan of both rose and Liquid Gold it sounded a match made in heaven, keep reading for all the details!
The Liquid Gold Rose comes in the recognisable Alpha H white bottle with a flip lid dispenser which is easy to use. Alpha H are committed to sustainability from ethically sourcing their ingredients to their packaging. The bottle is completely recyclable and part made from recycled materials, I love that they are doing their part.
What the Alpha H Liquid Gold Rose promises:
- To gently exfoliate your skin removing dead skin and build-up
- Improve skin tone leaving a brighter and luminous appearance
- Encourage collagen production whilst improving the skins moisture retention
- Strengthens the skin barrier
- Reduce the appearance of fine lines, pigmentation, sun damage and wrinkles
- Has a pH of 3.2 which temporarily will compromise the skin barrier to help active ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin and work their magic
- Suitable for all skin types and safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Key Ingredients:
Alpha H use naturally sourced botanicals in their formulas, known for their skin benefits including:
- Glycolic Acid – gently removes dead skin cells whilst encouraging collagen and hyaluronic acid production in the skin. Works to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and leaves the skin looking smoother and brighter.
- Silk Protein – helps the skin to retain moisture whilst protecting it from environmental factors
- Liquorice Root – rich in antioxidants it helps to reduce the appearance of pigmentation
- Red Algae Extract – moisturises the skin and helps to support skin barrier health.
- Damask Rose Flower Water and Orchid Flower Extract – add a delicate scent and create a calming feeling
It is free from common irritants including mineral oil, SLS, parabens and parfum.
My Review
I’ve always loved Liquid Gold and combined with Rose well it sounded a match made in skincare heaven! It works quickly, feeling instantly refreshing whilst it absorbs easily into my skin. There is a mild tingling sensation when it is applied, it’s not uncomfortable and is normal showing the magic is happening. The Rose scent adds a luxurious touch to an OG favourite and is very subtle. I love a multitasker and not only does Liquid Gold gently exfoliate, it also keeps my skin hydrated. It is my overnight miracle worker leaving my skin smooth and soft, with of course a natural healthy glow to it!
I regularly experience hormonal breakouts and it work brilliantly at soothing and helping to keep them at bay. It is super gentle on my skin and I have never experienced any discomfort or irritation. I use it twice a week in my routine which I find is enough for my skin to help keep it healthy and glowing. Overtime it has reduced the appearance of my redness and pigmentation giving my complexion a more even appearance which is fab! I was already a fan (can you tell!) of Liquid Gold and love the new addition of the Rose to the collection. If you are looking to improve your skins health and give it a brightening boost Liquid Gold Rose will not disappoint!
