Body mist are having a moment and unlike the ones I remember in my teens (Vanilla Impulse and Charlie Red anyone?) they have evolved and have a more grown up feel about them. The Phlur Heavy Cream Mist recently caught my attention. I’m already a fan of their perfumes and was intrigued to see how their Body Mist’s performed. A good body mist can transform your favourite scent through clever layering or of course be worn alone. Even better price wise they are cheaper than a perfume and you usually get more in the bottle. Of course none of this matters if it doesn’t wear well! Phlur have quite a collection of popular body mists and having spent time having a good spritz Heavy Cream drew me in. It comes in two sizes, the smaller being perfect for travel or your bag for a mid day refresh.

Now this has been a surprise I didn’t expect. My memories of body mists from my teens include the Spice Girls impulse scents you simply had to have in your PE bag. Sickly sweet and yes we sprayed half a can. Since those days my scent choices have changed and my main concern with Heavy Cream was that it would be too sickly sweet. Thankfully it isn’t, a grown up sweet gourmand which doesn’t feel top heavy and quite simply is irresistible.
The pump emits a fine mist which is easy to apply to your body and hair. It has a subtle citrus opening which evolves into a warm and creamy scent. Heavy by name bit not by nature it feels light and easy to wear. I can really detect the marshmallow, salted caramel, vanilla mousse and whipped cream which make combined create sweet and cosy feeling. If you don’t have a craving for warm milk or roasting marshmallows you have more will power than me! It wears well for a body mist, in fact it is one of the longest wearing I have used in sometime that I can still detect it well into the afternoon. I love that you can layer it to create your own unique scent and will be trying some combinations soon. A beautiful scent which feels more luxurious than its price tag, Heavy Cream is an Autumn into Winter warmer.
