With Winter firmly with us now in the UK and the winds having a bitter bite to them our skin needs that little bit more attention and care to tackle the elements. Scientia recently launched their new Ceramide Skin Rescue Moisture Barrier Balm which sounds the perfect skin remedy for these colder months, if your skin needs some TLC keep reading!

I personally love Scientia packaging and the clean white tube is aesthetically pleasing, I always love seeing the captions on the rear of the packaging – they fit perfectly. With a twist cap lid for easy dispensing a gentle squeeze of the tube is all you will need as a little does go a long way!

What it Promises

  • To hydrate and soothe the skin
  • Restore and strengthen the skin barrier
  • Plump, firm and smooth the skin
  • Improve skin elasticity
  • Leave skin looking healthy and dewy

Key Ingredients

  • Ceramides – 5 types of ceramides mimic your skins natural barrier to aid hydration and suppleness whilst boosting overall health and strength
  • Sphingolipids – help to replenish and strengthen the skin barrier
  • Fatty Acids & Cholesterol- Super effective when working alongside ceramides to improve skin tone, texture and irritation
  • Hyaluronic Acid – improves and increases skin hydration
  • Desert Milk Complex – Including Jojoba, Watermelon, Aloe, Baobab and Kahlahari Melon to smooth, plump and improve skin elasticity – a magic complex it leaves a veil of hydration on the skin which can last up to 72 hours!

You know I love multiuse products and the Ceramide Rescue Moisture Barrier Balm ticks that box, use in place of your moisturiser, an intense mask treatment or an overnight mask – obviously I have tried all three! A lightweight balm which absorbs quickly and instantly cools and soothes my skin relieving and calming any irritation. It feels wonderfully luxurious to touch and has a lovely light scent which I enjoy. As always consistency is key with skincare and after six weeks use I have noticed a significant improvement in my redness especially around my nose and chin where it is calming and evening in tone which is always a win!

I call this my Winter Skin Remedy! My skin feels and looks healthier, it helps skin to maintain moisture which is no mean feat in these colder months and I love that I can see and feel the improvement in my dry and dehydrated areas. I have experienced no irritation at all including on an open wound (don’t ask I’m clumsy!) its comfortable and gentle and absolutely suitable for all skin types. My skin looks plumper and is glowing – a winning combination! No matter how I choose to use the Ceramide Skin Rescue Moisture Barrier Balm my skin reaps the benefits, I personally love using it as an overnight mask knowing I will wake up with hydrated and dewy skin – don’t worry it won’t leave any residue on your pillow. It firmly has its place at my bedside, if your skin is in need of some TLC and you are looking to strengthen your skin barrier and improve hydration the Ceramide Rescue Moisture Barrier Balm is definitely one to try!
