There is very little that springs to mind that costs £2, my favourite coffee is almost double that! The Elf Cream Glide Lip Liners recently launched at an affordable £2, yes you read that correctly. Needless to say at such an affordable cost I had to see for myself if they had the quality I have come to love from Elf, keep reading to find out more!
The Elf Cream Glide Liners are available in eight shades, from soft pink, neutral beige to vibrant red and rich plum. The Cream Glide Liners reflect their pencil shade making it easy to identify in your makeup bag. I appreciate this as it is worth noting the shades are not included on the pencil but can be found on the packaging the pencils come in. I picked up two shades – Pinky Swear and Mauve Aside to share with you.

Creamy by name and creamy by nature the Elf Cream Glide Lip Liners sweep on with ease. They are richly pigmented leaving a seamless silky smooth and even finish in minutes. The pencil is lightweight and easy to control without smudging or tugging on my lips. It’s comfortable creamy formula makes it easy to define and shape my lips giving them a subtle fuller appearance. I love how long lasting the colour is and if you do enjoy filling your lips it isn’t drying and looks simply beautiful!
One bug bear of mine is how poorly many lip liners sharpen. Thankfully this is not the case and I have experienced no breakage when re-sharpening. The real test with a lip liner is lipstick and it works its magic at preventing bleeding and feathering especially with my bolder shades. It helps to increase their wear and gives a gorgeous polished lip look. The liners remove easily at the end of the day with my normal makeup remover with no excess rubbing required. With super impressive length of wear and comfort I can not fault the Cream Glide Lip Liners. I hope Elf increase the shades in the collection, it is a fantastic (and super affordable!) addition to any makeup collection!
