Easy to over look lip pencils are often seen as an added luxury or only necessary for a bold lip. I couldn’t wait to try them so let’s jump in!
The second lip pencil to join Lisa’s collection it has been created with skin enhancement in mind. The collection has a real focus on undertones to enhance both the lips and complexion. In the classic Lisa Eldridge antique golden packaging the pencils are accompanied by a pencil sharpener which I think is a great touch. I picked up shade 0N from the neutral colours, you can see it in action here.
What the Lisa Eldridge Sculpt and Shade Lip Pencil Promises:

How is the Lisa Eldridge Sculpt and Shade Lip Pencil different from the Enhance and Define Lip Pencil?
The obvious difference between the two pencils are the shades, with the Enhance and Define collection in matching shades to the Velvet Lipsticks. I do enjoy both and find that the Sculpt and Shade allows more playtime without ever truly setting, where as once the Enhance and Define colour sets it doesn’t move. Both are easily to blend however I find the newer pencils blend a little easier and build to the perfect finish.
What are the Sculpt and Shade Lip Pencil Shades?
There are ten ‘skin-true’ shades in the collection catering for every skin tone.
- Four Neutral shades to compliment all skin tones, from Cafe au lait to a rich deep brown
- Three Warm shades to compliment warm skin tones from light peach to rich terracotta
- Three Cool shades to flatter cool tones from light pink to rich berries

The older I get the more I appreciate a lip liner and am reaching for them daily. True to their name the Sculpt and Define Lip Pencils add definition and shape with very little effort needed. A user friendly formula which is smooth without being too cream which is perfect for an easy precise application. It never fully sets allowing plenty of time to both shape and blend to achieve the perfect finish. They are versatile and beautifully pigmented. A light application gives a soft blurred finish which you can also build for more impact. I love how subtly I can enhance both my natural lip line and colour. The shade 0N works with many of my lipstick shades and glosses which is great. As a result I don’t need numerous lip pencils in my bag.
It isn’t the longest wearing lip liner I have ever used as it doesn’t completely set. However it wears well and keeps my lips looking full and defined throughout the day. My lip look, both lipstick and gloss lasts much longer with no bleeding or feathering which is always a win. The pencils feel soft and comfortable on the lips without feeling dry, heavy or causing any irritation. This a fantastic collection which will work with existing lip colours in any collection.
