My Review of UMIA Beauty
A nail industry world first had my attention and I had to see just how the UMIA Beauty technology worked. The nail design machine itself is impressive. I picked my design and relaxed as it got to work. Each nail goes in individually, simply place your finger in the holder as indicated. Once ready it gets to work and you can watch as it instantly creates your chosen design. Honestly it is so quick if you blink you will miss it painting on your design. The result is a smooth gel like finish which is good to go, no waiting around for nails to dry which is great. Personally I loved the detailing which is so intricate whilst feeling easy and effortless!
It is worth noting that the machine does not do any preparation work which is something to consider before hand. Where it will be available in salons I am sure this will be available. Make sure you use the pre manicure wipe to remove any residue and dirt from your nails before popping them in the machine. This will help increase the wear and prevent early chipping. I did not do this so did experience some chipping at the tip of my nail as a result – lesson learned! I opted to have my thumbs done, selecting a London soldier and Union Jack design. They looked great, although do pay attention to your ‘thumb placement to avoid the design going onto the skin. It’s also important not to move to avoid any gapping.
I am really impressed with UMIA Beauty and love how my nails looked. Perfect if you are short for time or looking for nail designs to impress. My designs lasted well and removed easily. I can’t wait for them to launch nationwide and see their full catalogue. As soon as I know more on their launch date and prices I will update you all.
