Self Care Sunday – Versed Skincare Look Alive Hydrating Plumping Mask Review

Oh Winter how I love my big thick jumpers to snuggle in but really wish you wouldn’t dry out my skin as much as you do! I have been searching for extra hydration to bring my skin back to life and relieve my irritated, sore dry patches and came across the Look Alive Hydrating Plumping Mask by Versed Skincare who recently launched in the UK.

Versed Skincare Look Alive Hydrating Plumping Mask

Versed Skincare are cruelty free and vegan friendly, they are a clean skincare brand leaving out all nasties and irritants from their formulas. What attracted me the most to them is that they have skipped excess packaging and use recyclable packaging as much as possible, they are currently 92% recyclable which I think is pretty impressive (I can’t tell you how much it frustrates me when I am unable to recycle packaging!).

The Look Alive Hydrating Plumping Mask comes packaged in a pretty pink pouch with a screw cap top. It is so lightweight it will be perfect to pop in my case on those holidays I am dreaming of! I love the design of all important information on the back of the pouch, it’s user friendly and to the point. Enough about the packaging! To summarise – I like it!

The back packaging of the pouch

The Look Alive Hydrating Plumping Mask promises to hydrate and moisturise the skin while helping to improve its appearance and reduce the signs of aging (please keep my wrinkles at bay a bit longer for me!). Ingredients included are:

  • Aloe leaf juice – to instantly hydrate the skin
  • Plant-based collagen alternative – to prevent moisture loss and increase the skins elasticity
  • Rosehip seed oil – to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and smooth the skin
The gel formula of Look Alive Hydrating Plumping Mask

The mask is a clear gel formula which distributes easily on my skin, a little goes a long way and I will certainly achieve the twelve plus applications promised from this pouch. Once in contact with my skin it immediately has a soothing cooling effect which feels refreshing morning or evening. It is a comfortable mask to wear and being a clear gel does not scare or put my kids off breakfast in the morning! I leave it on my skin for 10/15 minutes and rinse off using a warm cloth.

The gel formula is smooth and spreads easily

My skin feels revitalised and smooth after using this mask. It leaves my skin looking plumper, including the following morning should I use the mask in the evening. It creates a lovely smooth base for my make up after morning use and does not leave any residue. It has a pleasant Rose scent from the Rosehip seed oil which I find subtle and refreshing.

I have been using the Look Alive Hydrating Plumping Mask for three weeks regularly and have found it to be a lovely gentle mask which has caused my skin no irritation and has helped to reduce the dry skin patches on my face quickly and easily.

A quick break from my one year old eating my top!

I am really pleased I tried the Look Alive Hydrating Plumping Mask from Versed Skincare and am happy with the benefits I am getting from adding this mask to my routine three times a week. I will be looking into trying more of their products as they are so reasonably priced!

The Look Alive Hydrating Plumping Mask (£9.50/$9.99) is available at Cult Beauty* and Versed Skincare

  1. This sounds like such a lovey product. I really like the sound of their brand ethos and love the packaging too. I was getting really excited about trying this but saw a few things on the ingredients label that my skin tends to have issues with so I’ll have to pass on this one x

    1. Thank you for reading, that is such a shame that it has ingredients that causes irritation for you. They have a great ethos and are agreeing with my skin at present. Have a great week!x

  2. This looks interesting. I love that it seems to be a cleaner beauty product inside and outside! Did you notice any plumping in smile lines? I could use some help there!
