My Current Five Minute Makeup Routine

Post contains gifted/PR* items and affiliate links*

I sometimes feel like the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland running after the clock and chasing time on busy mornings! I am lucky on most busy mornings to eat (inhale) breakfast let alone grab some precious minutes to make myself look human and cover my under eye bags! On preschool mornings especially I rely on products I know and trust to give me that little lift for the day. These are my current five minute makeup products!

my five minute makeup products

IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream*

I love a base that I pretty much can’t go wrong with especially when I’m applying it with one hand and feeding my youngest with the other! The IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream is fool proof, a small amount of product goes a long way and I can achieve a medium/full coverage in minutes. The formula distributes and blends beautifully and easily giving me a natural and even complexion. I also use it as a concealer under my eyes – a great multitasker! It stays in place all day and gives my complexion a natural luminosity. This is a permanent in my makeup bag I can’t be without it! Full review can be found here.

Daniel Sandler Watercolour Gel Cheek Colour

I love a natural look and the Daniel Sandler Watercolour Gel Cheek Colour gives me the perfect flush of colour quickly and easily. Best applied with fingers I can add a little lift to my complexion within seconds and make myself appear more awake than I really am! I like to use it on my eyelids and lips too for a soft monochromatic look, I do love a multitasker! Full review can be found here.

IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Pencil*

I find tidying my brows quite therapeutic and really have noticed a difference using the IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Pencil. I can tidy and fill in my brows in minutes using the brush at one end and pencil at the other. The pressure applied determines the colour intensity, I only need to use a light hand. The formula is comfortable and blends easily and quickly leaving a natural finish. It stays in place in all day, it does not move whatever the weather! My little relaxing minute of the morning when I can get lost with my thoughts! Full review can be found here.

Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Volume II Mascara

I love a natural lash look and Legendary Lashes Volume II gives me the right amount of volume without looking too heavy. I can achieve a natural looking flutter with one coat and look bright eyed and ready for the day in seconds. I have not experienced any clumping or flaking, it stays put all day and removes easily with my normal eye makeup remover.

  1. Beautiful! I need to come up with a shorter makeup routine. I have mineral powder makeup and I love it, but application of just the basics takes more than five minutes. Most mornings I just don’t bother.
