If there is one piece of makeup I can’t be without mascara would be at the top of my list. I love a wide awake look, probably because I rarely am and always like to fake it! I loved the sound of Fenty Beauty’s Full Frontal Mascara which launched earlier this year, the unique wand design caught my attention immediately I had to see if it worked!
Fenty Full Frontal Mascara comes in stunning gold and black packaging, the design is striking and immediately caught my attention. The mascara promises to:
- Lengthen
- Volumize
- Lift and curl the lashes
- Water resistant
I can’t go any further without talking about the unique wand design, a flat-to-fat brush designed to provide the ultimate eye-opening definition. I admit when I first saw the wand I admit I was not keen to try it but seeing it in store (prior to lockdown) changed my mind!
The flat side of the wand has smaller fibres to act as a comb to separate, define and curl the lashes. The fat side has longer bristles to lift and volumize the lashes. The suggested application is to pack the mascara onto the lashes using the fat side and follow with the flat side to lift the lashes. I initially thought I would struggle to use this wand design and was pleasantly surprised with how easy I found it to work with.
The formula is lovely and light, I forget I am wearing it at times! It applies easily and where the formula does not dry immediately is buildable without ever becoming lumpy between layering. Although the formula does not dry instantly it stays in place and does not transfer (no panda eyes!) which I am really impressed with.
I love how fluffy it makes my lashes look, natural yet thicker with a eye opening lift. I vary between one to two layers depending on my mood and how many bags I am trying to disguise under my eyes! I love the versatility Of this mascara and the option to go from natural to dramatic depending on my mood. The wand captures every upper lash leaving a lovely even finish.
I have been using Full Frontal mascara for six weeks and it has not caused my sensitive eyes any irritation which I am really happy with. It stays in place all day without transferring or flaking, surviving our recent heatwave and the rainy days we have had. I find it removes easily at the end of the day with my normal eye make up remover.
I really love the formula and the looks I can achieve with the Full Frontal Mascara, this will definitely be a repurchase for me and best of all Fenty Beauty are cruelty free!
Fenty Beauty Full Frontal Mascara (£21.00/$24.00) is available from Fenty Beauty, Boots, Harvey Nichols and retail stockists.
