Final Thoughts on Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum

These past weeks have flown by! After sharing my First Impressions of the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum (can be found here) I promised I would return with my final review after some considerable use, let’s jump straight in!

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum Crystal Elixir

I have been using the Magic Serum as part of my skincare routine both morning and evening, half of the pipette per use is plenty for my preferred application. A brief reminder (for my memory too!) of what the Magic Serum promises to do for our skin:

  • Instant Hydration
  • Anti-aging – reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores
  • Even and firm the complexion
  • Leave you with younger looking skin
  • Suitable for all skin types

For ingredients breakdown, texture and application review please see my First Impressions post.

I immediately noticed my skin appeared and felt more hydrated after applying the Magic Serum, it plumps my skin leaving it looking revitalised and healthy once the serum is absorbed. I was happy with the immediate effects of the Magic Serum and the healthy glow it leaves on my skin.

After six weeks I began to notice longer term benefits from continual use of the Magic Serum. The appearance of my pores on my nose and cheeks began to reduce, they were much less visible and my skin is smoother in these areas. My skin tone is much more even and the dehydrated areas around my nose and forehead are relieved resulting in an easier makeup application, no patchy skin is always a win! Overall my skin is looking healthy and fresh, the appearance you return from holiday with after a lovely relaxing break! (If only!).

The Magic Skincare collection

I have experimented using the Magic Serum at various stages in my skincare routine. I always love to save time and mix my serum with my moisturiser on busy mornings, it works wonderfully with all my moisturisers and this does not reduce the effectiveness of the serum. With my skin looking healthy I have been using less makeup and leaving my skin to naturally glow a lot more than I would normally which is always a big plus for me!

Overall I am really pleased with the reduction in the appearance of my pores and improvement in my complexion from the Magic Serum. As you can see I have made my way through the bottle it is now empty! The bottle lasted eleven weeks with continuous use both morning and evening. Will I repurchase? I would happily use the Magic Serum again and will no doubt be dropping hints for my next birthday!

An empty Magic Serum!

  1. I love Charlotte Tilbury products but only ever pick them up every once in a while as a bit of a treat to myself. Next time I’m in the mood to splurge on a skincare product I’ll definitely be picking this up x

  2. I love that you’ve shared an update on how you got on with this serum. Yes, it’s pricey but clearly worth it as it’s effective and the bottle has lasted a long time – I hope your hints are listened to! I’ve been using a Vitamin C serum for the last few months and been very impressed with that too. Incorporating a serum into a skincare routine is such an easy step, but one that I’d never skip now. 🙂 Lisa

  4. It is great that you got to spend some time to really feel the effects of Charlotte Tilbury’s serum. I’m glad to hear that you noticed some longer term benefits. Sometimes, you need to commit to using a product to really feel the effects. Big plus that your pore appearance reduced a well. Glad you enjoyed it overall!
