The Best Cream Eyeshadow? Trinny London Eye2Eye Review + Swatches

I love making life easy and am a big fan of cream eyeshadows, when they work you can have a pop of colour in no time with very little effort. Trinny London recently launched their Mother Earth collection in their Eye2Eye range, I was drawn to the striking colours and had to try!

Trinny London Eye2Eye

Trinny London Eye2Eye comes packaged in their well known silver pots, the perfect size for our make up bags and travel. Eye2Eye is designed to be applied using your fingers and the packaging lends itself to this application easily.

The Mother Earth collection has four beautiful shades created to work in harmony together or individually:

  • Hope – Soft golden peach
  • Truth – Warm caramel chestnut brown
  • Courage – Pink flecked copper
  • Fortitude- Metallic burgundy red

I chose Courage, a break away from the peaches and browns tones I am drawn to and love. The shade is unique and different from what I have in my eyeshadow collection.

The stunning shimmer from the shade Courage

Courage is a stunning warm pink flecked copper shade, it is truly unique and beautiful. It is a striking shade which draws attention to the eye without being too intense. It contains tiny flecks of glitter to add some discreet shimmer and add subtle sparkle to the eye.

Swatch of Courage

The Eye2Eye formula is a lovely lightweight cream which is easy and fool proof to apply! It applies perfectly with my ring finger, gliding on like silk and blending easily on my lid with very little effort on my part, I can achieve a stunning pop of colour in seconds without the worry of any product fallout. The formula does not dry down immediately which makes it easy to blend and build to your preferred colour intensity.

The finish is soft and even on my lids, it is a forgiving formula which does not settle in any creases or gather in the corners of my eye which I have experienced from cream eyeshadows in the past, I am left with a lovely smooth finish which is a big win for me! Courage is an extremely pigmented shade which lasts all day, rain or shine! The colour does not fade nor does the eyeshadow move which I love! It is a gentle formula which has caused my sensitive eyes no irritation.

Although the Courage contains particles of glitter it is fine and not chunky or gritty, had I not known it was contained in the eyeshadow I would not know it was on my eyes. The glitter particles give the eyes a lovely subtle shimmer without looking too disco and dramatic making it a wearable shade for any age and gorgeously eye catching for the right reasons!

I love the versatility of the Eye2Eye formula and how easy it is to go for a sheer to intense eye look in no time at all. The eyeshadow is fuss free and super easy to apply making it difficult to go wrong! The formula is flattering and great for any age. I have not put Courage down since I started using it and have my eye on a couple of other shades to try! If you like quick and easy make up with a beautiful colour pay off you will love Eye2Eye eyeshadows

  1. I don’t think I’ve ever worn a cream eyeshadow – my skin is quite oily so I tend to stick to pale powders if I wear any colour at all. These sound very nice though, it’s good that they are so buildable. The colour looks gorgeous on you! Lisa x

  2. I love how it gives just a little bit of sparkle. And that you can apply it so well with your finger because I am terrible with eyeshadow! Great color on you as well Sarah!

  3. Great post and these cream eye shadows look lovely. Shame I just can’t put them on as I have been blind in one eye since a teen so its like doing it with your eyes closed and literally it ends up a complete mess
