With mask wearing our new normal our approach to makeup has changed, we want more than ever our skin to breathe whilst still enjoying brightening up our complexion. Smashbox recently launched their new Halo Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturiser, being the fan I am of glow and a light coverage it was a must try!

Smashbox Halo Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturiser

The Smashbox Halo Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturiser comes packaged in a golden bronze tube. The tinted moisturiser is dispensed through squeezing the top of the tube, only a light hand is needed! Halo Healthy Glow is available in 12 shades, I have the shade fair/light.

What it Promises

The Halo Health Glow Tinted Moisturiser promises to be an all in one! It is a multitasker promising to:

  • Long lasting – includes a primer for all day wear
  • Hydrate and moisturise your skin
  • Give your skin a natural healthy dewy appearance
  • SPF25 to protect your skin against sun damage
  • Sweat and humidity resistant
  • Will not crease, cake or settle in fine lines
  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Cruelty free and vegan friendly

Key Ingredients

The formula includes 81% skin caring ingredients, I always love added skincare benefits! Some key ingriedients include:

  • Niacinamide – protects your skin from environmental stresses
  • Hyaluronic Acid – reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Peptides – improve your skins barrier and help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Rose Extract – helps to calm and reduce the appearance of redness

The formula is also oil free making it lightweight and perfect for all skin types, especially those with oily skin.

Swatches of shade Healthy Halo Glow in shade fair/light. It is recommended to shake the tube before use, this mixes all the goodness together and makes the formula a lovely smooth liquid which applies and blends easily.

I have been using Halo Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturiser for three weeks and love how quick and easy it is to apply. It has been designed to be applied using your fingers however if you are not a fan of using your fingers to apply your makeup I have found you can achieve a beautiful finish using a brush also. It blends effortlessly and is buildable for a light coverage, I like to apply a little extra to my blemish prone areas and have not experienced any caking nor does it emphasise my pores which I love!

I can achieve a seamless light coverage with very little product giving my complexion a healthy and fresh look, I love that it reduces appearance of my redness giving me a lovely even finish. My skin type is normal with some dehydrated areas and I have noticed the hydrating benefits on my dehydrated patches it soothes and moisturises without emphasising them which is a big plus for me! The formula is lightweight allowing my skin to breathe which I love! It wears well under my mask causing no irritation which is important for so many of us currently. Halo Healthy Glow works brilliantly alone and as a base for my foundation, containing primer it gives a beautiful smooth base for applying additional makeup.

I have found Halo Healthy Glow to be long lasting, I generally wear makeup for eight hours and am really pleased to find that it does not move and stays in place. I love the natural even finish I can achieve quickly and easily, it gives me enough coverage for the day that I do not feel the need to add foundation on top and enjoy letting my skin glow. Healthy Halo Glow is a real skin loving tinted moisturiser and will be staying in my makeup bag!

A great addition to my makeup bag!

  1. Sounds exactly like something that I am looking for! I packed away my full-cover foundations and use now only The Ordinary serum foundation. But technically I could go even for a lighter formula. I saved this on my Pinterest beauty shopping list xx
