This year is all about lips, we have been spoilt with choice! One new release that has caught my eye is the Satin Slip Lipstick from Vieve. Regular readers know I am a fan of Vieve and couldn’t resist snapping up one of their new lipsticks to see if it would live up to my expectations. If you love a light and nourishing lipstick, keep reading!
The Satin Slip Lipsticks are the second lipstick formula Vieve have released. I love their Modern Matte lipsticks (full review here) so hoped this would be another winning formula. They come packaged in ribbed design golden casing which looks beautiful whilst also feeling lightweight. The lid is magnetic which I always love for my handbag. The lipsticks twist up easily to reveal the slanted shaped bullet embossed with the Vieve ‘V’.
There are four shades in the collection:
- Nightie – a light peachy-nude
- Kink – a rich warm nude
- Silk Sheets – s soft pink-brown
- Deep Love – a cool-toned berry
All the shades look beautiful. I was most drawn to Silk Sheets which I picked up to share with you.
What the Vieve Satin Slip Lipstick Promises:

The Satin Slip Lipstick glides on beautifully leaving an even finish in one easy swipe. It feels lovely and creamy on my lips and leaves a smooth colour which doesn’t accentuate any lines. I love how versatile the colour is. One coat leaves a natural hint of colour and if you want more intensity it layers effortlessly without feeling heavy. The finish is a sophisticated satin with a slight sheen. It is easy to wear and looks flattering. I experienced no feathering or transfer and found it wore well, fading to a natural hint of colour by the afternoon. The sleek case is luxe and lightweight that I am happy for any excuse to reapply and pop it out of my bag!
The formula is incredibly nourishing and leaves my lips feeling lovely and soft at the end of the day which I love. It is incredibly lightweight and comfortable making it easy to wear everyday. The slanted bullet makes application easy and ensures an even coat each time. It looks great with a liner for a more defined look from day to night, I personally love to pair it with Vieve’s Brat. This is my favourite type of lipstick for easy everyday wear, light and effortless it’s perfect for summer!
