It is safe to say lips are having a moment and personally I love it. As much as I love a lip oil and gloss I do enjoy a matte lip. The Rare Beauty Lip Souffle Matte Lip Cream caught my attention. Besides sounding delicious the shade collection is beautiful and I couldn’t wait to give it a try. Keep reading to find out more!
Rare Beauty was founded by Selena Gomez, before it is written off as another celebrity brand this is one of the few which is worth looking at. All products have been carefully curated and shades considered for all skin types. Through watching Selena’s tutorials you can feel her input into each product and the consideration for those using with disabilities to ensure inclusivity. She isn’t just the face of the brand. The Lip Souffle comes in a chic tube with a doe foot applicator. The doe foot is curved for effortless and precise application. There are 15 shades available in the collection from mauves and pinks to corals and beiges. I picked up Kindness, a soft nude pink to share with you.

The Lip Souffle is a silky smooth cream which glides on effortlessly, the curved doe foot applicator makes it easy to get an even finish. Highly pigmented it gives a beautiful colour payoff in one swipe. I love that it doesn’t go patchy even if my lips are dry and has a smooth, blurring effect which leaves my lips looking healthy and full. It is incredibly lightweight and feels so soft on my lips, a true velvet effect which I love. It dries down relatively quickly and once set doesn’t transfer.
The doe foot applicator is the perfect shape for a precise and defined application. Unlike many matte lipsticks the Lip Soufflé is comfortable and hydrating helping to keep my lips in top condition. I find one coat of Kindness gives me enough colour, if you prefer a more intense finish it layers easily for more pop. A long lasting lip colour, it does fade a little as the day goes on however colour remains. One of the most lightweight and comfortable lip creams I have used I honestly forget I have it on unless I look in the mirror! A nourishing and beautiful lip cream, I can’t wait to try more!
