Reeson Beauty launched this year, created by beauty blogger Really Ree it has burst into the beauty space with its innovative makeup. The most recent addition to the collection is the Lid Elixir. Reeson Beauty creates the best of both, high performing makeup with long term skincare benefits. The Lid Elixir immediately captured my attention. Described as a “First of its kind peptide-packed serum-tint to smooth eyelids and deliver a wash of sheer, glossy colour that suits all skin tones”. It comes in a lightweight orange tube with a squeeze top dispenser. I highly recommend going lightly as a little goes a long way. Lid Elixir comes in two beautiful shades – OG Nude and Toasted Cinnamon.

- Matrixyl Synthe 6 – a strong peptide which increases collagen and elastin synthesis giving a smoother and more lifted appearance. Improves the appearance of wrinkles, dullness and fine lines which whilst evening skin tone.
- Gatuline Link and Lift – works to support and reinforce the skin’s structure through stimulating cellular dynamism of fibroblasts whilst reducing wrinkles

Review:
A small amount is all you need of the Lid Elixir for a beautiful shimmer in seconds. A lightweight serum which is effortless to use and feels pleasantly cooling. Easy to blend using a brush or your fingers, whichever your prefer you can’t go wrong. Allow it to dry for a few minutes and once set it instantly makes my lids look smoother. I love the sheer finish which is easy to build if you want a little more impact. It is incredibly flattering and doesn’t cling to texture or emphasise fine lines. The elegant glossy glow of OG Nude brightens and awakens my eyes which is not an easy task on busy mornings! Whilst the warm bronze of Toasted Cinnamon is summer in a tube, beautiful!
Once set it doesn’t move and feels so light I often forget I have anything on. Personally I feel the longer it is on my lids the better they look as the day goes on and is easy to remove using my normal cleanser at the end of the day. I have been asked what I would compare it to and not one single product comes to mind. The wonderful smoothing effect it has on my lids is a great base for eyeshadow and minimal makeup lovers that enjoy a one and done eye look will love the ease of use. It does more than makeup, my lids are dry and after three weeks using the Lid Elixir feel more comfortable and hydrated. A unique addition to my makeup bag and great for all skin tones and types.
