In the fast paced world we live in our expectations at seeing results has changed and we want them quickly. What are PHAs?
With so many acids now available on the market its hard to know the difference between AHAs, BHAs and PHAs. So lets make it easy, PHAs (Poly-hydroxy acids) come under the AHA family. They are larger in size than AHAs and BHAs which as a result means they do not penetrate as deeply into the skin. Due to their larger molecule size they work on the skin outer layers at surface level and as a result are a gentle alternative to harsher chemical exfoliants and less likely to cause irritation. This makes them a great option for those with sensitive prone skin. PHAs are also humectants meaning they help the skin to retain moisture and leave it healthy and glowing!

My Review
When it comes to exfoliants I tend to lean to chemical as opposed to physical however on this occasion I am happy to be swayed. From the refreshing citrus scent to the smooth texture the PHA Exfoliating Facial delivers a spa at home experience. Perfect if you are short for time simply pop on for two minutes and remove with a damp face cloth to reveal healthy glowing skin. The texture feels wonderful to massage into my skin, gently exfoliating without leaving my skin red or irritated. It isn’t abrasive and won’t strip the skin, in fact it does the opposite and leaves it feeling moisturised and comfortable which is fantastic.
I love the instant result it delivers, my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth after use. It works quickly at brightening my skin and is the perfect morning skin refresh. I use twice a week and really look forward to giving my skin a pick me up without irritating my rosacea. The perfect prep for my skincare routine and setting my skin up for the day. Overall a great treatment to pop into any skincare routine to help revive and keep skin healthy and glowing.
