We all have those faux tan memories that we would rather forget. From spray tans that run down, streaky applications and those tell tale orange hands, let’s be honest we’ve been there and have the T-shirt! Thankfully formulas have evolved over the years and as a result are fuss free, mess free with improved scents. I’ve been using the Skinny Tan Body Glow and if you are looking for a fool proof, fuss free tan keep reading!
The Body Glow Self-Tan Lotion comes in a lightweight bottle with a pump dispenser. The pump is easy to use and dispenses the perfect amount for application. There is none of that unpleasant faux tan scent here. It has a beautiful vanilla and coconut scent which adds the perfect holiday feeling, take me to the beach!

My Review
The Body Glow has a buildable formula which is perfect for a quick developing natural tan. An incredibly light and smooth lotion it applies easily and feels soothing on my skin. I always use a mitt and one pump at a time as a little goes a long way. Applying just like a lotion it is so easy to get an even and streak, patch free finish. A quick absorbing lotion which doesn’t feel sticky or greasy and leaves my skin feeling both soft and smooth. As a result thanks to its quick drying action it feels comfortable under clothes and doesn’t transfer. I was really impressed with how quickly the colour develops, after three days I had a natural sun kissed tan.
I find the colour lasts well, it fades gradually without going streaky or patchy which is fab. It is super easy to maintain and I found applying every couple of days kept my preferred colour. As with any tanning product prep is essential, be sure to both exfoliate and moisturise beforehand to help improve the appearance of the tan and increase how long it lasts. I have dry ‘mum’ knees and although they are still dry I didn’t experience streaking or patching. By applying a little less to these areas it helped to keep the colour a little more even.
Body Glow really is the best of both, hydrating and nourishing it leaves my skin moisturised and looking healthy with of course a sun kissed glow. Overall a great gradual tanner for beginners to pros alike, it is the perfect faux tan this summer!
