I absolutely love the wooden pencil style design. It takes me back to when everyone looked in to your new pencil case on the first day at school – instead its makeup bag envy! They have a great arty feel about them with the lid colour also identifying the pencil shade, just don’t get them mixed up! The lid secures firmly which will prevent any bag mishaps. There are 12 shades available ranging from soft pinks, browns to rich reds. I picked up Banquette which is a soft beige pink and Palazzo (at my sons request – great taste!) a vibrant poppy red!

Gliding on comfortably and with ease the Ilia Lip Sketch Hydrating Crayons are incredibly creamy and smooth. The pointed pencil tip makes it easy to create a precise lip line while its soft creamy texture blends and fills my lips with colour effortlessly. I am really impressed with how pigmented the colour is leaving a smooth and even colour in seconds. It has a soft matte finish which is flattering and also gives my lips with a plumper appearance – fab!
I have dry lips and found the lip crayons really hydrating with my lips feeling soft and comfortable during the day. The colour lasts well and although it does show on my coffee cup I don’t need a touch up until later in the day. One of my bug bears is sharpening and when the tip doesn’t regain its shape or breaks. Thankfully the Lip Sketch Crayon sharpens brilliantly, I do recommend using a larger sharpener for best results. This is one of those products that I really appreciate the convenience of. A true one and done it’s great for touch ups on the go without weighing down your bag. A great addition to any makeup bag!
