When you think of Weleda the best selling Skin Food immediately comes to mind – it’s fab! You may have missed their recent skincare collection. The Weleda Blue Gentian and Edelweiss Contouring range caught my attention promising to redefine facial contours. I have been testing it out to see if it can live up to the Skin Food love, keep reading to find out more!
Weleda are well known for their organic ingredients and committment to sustainability which is reflected in The Blue Gentian and Edelweiss collection. It comes in beautiful blue and green packaging reflecting the natural ingredients in the formulas enclosed and has a calming yet luxe feel about it. There are four products in the range including the Contouring Day Cream, Contouring Face Serum and the Contouring Lip and Eye Cream which I have to share with you. There is also a Contouring Night Cream available, the cherry on top!
What the Weleda Blue Gentian and Edelweiss Contouring Skincare promises:

- Blue Gentian – known for its soothing properties, it nourishes and relieves inflammation
- The Edelweiss Plant – rich in antioxidants and more potent than vitamin C at reducing and preventing wrinkles. It works to strengthen the skin barrier, increase collagen production and keep the skin supple.
- Weleda’s unique natural Collagen+ Active Complex – works to increase collagen, reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles and redefine facial contours.
Contouring Day Cream (£28.95)
The Contouring Day Cream is a lovely light cream which absorbs quickly. Formulated with The Collagen + Active Complex it works to even pigmentation and reduce the appearance of wrinkles whilst plumping and nourishing the skin. I love how soothing it feels on my skin, a real delight to massage in on busy mornings. My skin instantly looks plumper and brighter which is fantastic!
I have been using the cream for six weeks and have noticed a reduction in my redness which is fantastic along with my skin feeling smoother and softer. It gives my skin a great base for my makeup, intensely hydrating and soothing any irritation quickly. For a light cream it is mighty, nourishing and comfortable it has given my skin a real boost this winter whilst feeling light enough to be comfortable during the warmer months.
Contouring Eye and Lip Cream (£28.95)
I love a multiuse product and the Contouring Eye and Lip Cream works brilliantly. A light cream which absorbs beautifully instantly smoothing and hydrating both my lips and under eye. The cream feels lovely to massage into the under eye whilst feeling smooth and comfortable on the lips. It has a subtle hint of radiance which brightens my under eyes whilst giving my lips a healthy hint of sheen.
I always wake up with puffy eyes and it makes quick work of giving my eyes a less puffy and brighter appearance. A little goes a long way and it works brilliantly both morning and evening. I pop a little extra on my lips at night to act as a lip mask and love how soft and smooth they feel in the morning. Overtime my lip lines and under eye fine lines are less pronounced and look healthier. A fab little tube that has worked wonders!
Contouring Serum (£32.95)
A silky smooth serum which instantly plumps my skin. The Contouring Serum is quick absorbing and layers beautifully with my skincare products. It instantly soothes my dehydrated skin giving it a boost of hydration whilst leaving it glowing. Lightweight it feels lovely to massage into the skin and overtime has left my skin feeling smoother and firmer.
I have found it to be a very gentle serum to use, especially during times when my rosacea prone skin has been inflamed. It is incredibly soothing whilst overtime reducing my redness and leaving my skin feeling and looking calmer. I have already finished this serum and my skin is missing it!
From the quick absorbing and lovely textures to the reduction in my redness and boost in hydration. The Blue Gentian and Edelweiss collection has worked its magic leaving my skin plumper, calmer, healthier and glowing!
