I use Medik8 daily, their science backed formulas to put it simply work brilliantly for my skin. Not only have I been able to use some skincare ingredients I was afraid would cause irritation, I have also seen an improvement in my skins health and overall appearance. Safe to say no complaints here!
Crystal Retinal (from £45 30ml)
For most when you think of Medik8 Crystal Retinal immediately comes to mind and for good reason it is now the number 1 Retinal Serum worldwide. Clinically proven to work 11x faster than standard retinol it has been formulated to ensure results without irritation. It does this through including Retinaldehyde, a potent form of Vitamin A encapsulated for a gentle treatment. What I really love is that you can customise your strength to your skins tolerance for the best results. I started with my sensitive skin on strength 1 and have progressed to strength 3.
A light cream serum it feels lovely on my skin and absorbs easily leaving my skin smooth to touch. Patience and consistency are key for the best results and overtime my skin looks brighter, my redness is reduced and my complexion overall is smoother and more even. It also includes hyaluronic acid and glycerin to keep skin hydrated and soothed alongside Vitamin E to repair and protect against free radicals. Crystal Retinal has been a real boost for my skins health. It changed my opinion of using retinals on my sensitive skin and is always in my evening routine.
Liquid Peptides Advanced MP (£79 30ml)
When people comment on your skin you know your using the right products! Liquid Peptides Advanced MP really is a peptide VIP which is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of expression lines and deep set wrinkles. I love to see an instant result and this is where Liquid Peptides Advanced MP stands out as you can see a reduction in the appearance expression lines after ten minutes which is great! This is thanks to its science backer formula including dual MiniProteins. The Expression Line MiniProtein works to relax and smooth expression lines. Alongside the Growth Factor MiniProtein which works longer term to boost collagen, hydration and elastin resulting in skin looking firmer and smoother.
It’s a light, smooth serum which feels lovely to massage onto my skin. Once absorbed my expression lines appear softer and my skin looks plumper and brighter. Consistency is key and after five weeks I started to notice my skin not only looking smoother and brighter but also firmer. I use it in the evening before Crystal Retinal and love the improvement I’ve seen in my skin tone overtime. I refer to it as magic in a bottle and have lost count of how many I have emptied one! C-Tetra Advanced (£70 30ml)
Complete honesty here I did not expect to like C-Tetra Advanced as much as I do. My skin and Vitamin C aren’t often friends and my skin easily reacts to it. However I have experienced no irritation with C-Tetra Advanced. A lightweight gel it feels refreshing and light, absorbing easily and leaving my skin instantly looking brighter. Overtime my skin is smoother and my complexion more even whilst also getting the hydration it needs.
A 20% stabilised Vitamin C alongside Phyto Exosomes and hyaluronic acid work to hydrate, brighten and smooth the skin. Ready for the clever science part? Phyto Exosomes act as carriers delivering all the nourishment and antioxidant protection comfortably deep into the skin without compromising the skin barrier. Working to reduce signs of premature ageing resulting in healthy and radiant looking skin. Gentle but powerful it works brilliantly and is one of the few Vitamin C’s I can trust not to irritate my skin. Always remember to use your SPF after for the best results!
A little extra…
Alongside my top three there I use Hydra 5 Intense daily to keep my skin hydrated. Its a really light serum which layers brilliantly in my skincare routine. As we know hydrated skin is happy skin and ensures our skin works better which this does. For more peptide magic the Advanced Pro-Collagen + Peptide Cream works a treat. Locking in all the goodness of our skincare I find it nourishing enough for both morning and evening, giving me soft, plump and glowing skin.
When my skin needs some soothing care the HEO Mask is a highly nourishing overnight treatment. A two part mask. It works to support skin barrier health whilst giving skin some intense hydration. I love waking up with my skin feeling soothed whilst looking plumper and healthy. A great treatment if you also have a special occasion, your skin will be left glowing!
