Bareminerals Bounce and Blur Eyeshadow Palette Review

We all want to look our best and like many I want easy products to use when I am lucky to grab five minutes to do my face. I have been a fan of Bareminerals for many many years (a lady never reveals her age!) and when I saw their recent new Bounce and Blur range launch I was instantly drawn in. It has the fun factor reminding me of finger painting as a child (without the mess!) and appeared just as easy to use. There is a choice of two eyeshadow palettes in this collection – Dawn and Dusk, I would usually opt for Dawn but decided to try something different from my comfort zone colours and picked Dusk which I thought would be perfect for Autumn.

These beautiful eyeshadows contain:

  • Blurring Mineral Complex – to create a soft finish and blur fine lines around the eye
  • Botanical blends – to smooth the skins appearance and provide the bouncy and blendable texture
  • Colour Smart Pearls – for luminosity, the amount of pearl varies from shade to shade creating satin to shimmer finishes

The eyeshadows come in a sleek black soft palette with a much appreciated full size mirror inside. Each palette contains five beautiful eyeshadows, in Dusk the colour are:

  • Evening Star – Beige
  • Harvest Moon – Burnt Amber
  • Crimson Sunset -Deep Crimson
  • Sepia Sky – Sepia
  • Purple Twilight – Rich Plum

I really like the formula of these eyeshadows it applies and feels like a cream that dries down to feel like a powder.

Top to Bottom – Evening Star, Harvest Moon, Crimson Sunset, Sepia Sky, Purple Twilight

I have been using these eyeshadows for a month and am really enjoying them. I love the ease of application they are designed to be applied using your fingers and I can get a gorgeous colour in seconds. The cream texture is super easy to apply and blend and there is no fallout! Yes our carpets are saved! I was a bit apprehensive when I first saw how dark the colours were in the palette but I need not have worried as I can apply them to look how I prefer. Some days I wear them quite sheer and others I can create a more intense eye, the shades are all easily buildable. The formula does not crease on my eyelid (I have enough creases on my face to worry about!) and stays in place all day. My favourite shade is Crimson Sunset which surprised me! it is such a flattering colour and perfect for Autumn.

This is the most child friendly palette I own, these beautiful cream eyeshadows will not shatter when your toddler runs off and hides with the palette before getting bored and throwing it on the floor (yes we are in the midst of the terrible twos!).

I really enjoy using this palette and love the formula, I am using it on busy mornings when we are rushing out the door, a couple of minutes and I have colour on my eyes with no fuss. Not everyone wants or has the time to create intricate eye looks and this palette is perfect for a quick look without too much work, the colours work beautifully together.

The Bounce and Blur eyeshadow palettes (rrp £26.00) are available from Bareminerals and retail stockist. Bounce and a Blur blushes were also launched in the collection and look just as fun!

The most childproof palette I own this unique formula is not only crease proof but has no fallout! Created to be applied using your fingers it is easily buildable to achieve your desired look. I love a sheer look for the daytime and then pop on some more for a statement evening look (read more in my review here). […]
