Honest Beauty Hydrogel Cream Review

Hydrated skin is happy skin and I am obsessed with keeping mine happy and healthy. After pondering for all of five minutes I picked up the Honest Beauty Hydrogel Cream to see if the hype for this hydrating powerhouse was true!

Packaged in a classic white jar (made from 30% recycled plastic) the lid twists open easily to reveal a luxurious white cream, it looks rich and very tempting! It promises intense hydration to leave skin looking plump, dewy and smooth, reducing the appearance of fine lines and refreshing on the skin it sounds a real treat!

Key Ingredients

Honest Beauty, founded by Jessica Alba, are well known for creating skin loving formulas free from common irritants. The Hydrogel Cream is no exception and is a hydrating dynamo containing two sizes of Hyaluronic Acid for optimum benefits. Skin loving ingredients include:

  • Hyaluronic Acid – moisturises your skin and keeps it looking radiant
  • Squalane – softens and helps to keep your skin supple
  • Glycerin – retains moisture and increases your skins hydration
  • Sodium PCA – replenishes moisture in your skin

Review

I love the cooling and soothing effect the Hydrogel Cream has on my skin immediately refreshing and awakening it. The formula is light with a bouncy consistency which transforms into a fluid once applied, soaking into my skin with ease instantly giving it a burst of much needed moisture. My skin is left feeling soft and silky smooth with a healthy glow which if you are a regular reader you know is a must have for me. I am really impressed with how it plumps my complexion, reviving and disguising my tired skin from sleepless nights! Consistency is always key with skincare and having used it in my AM and PM routine for six weeks my skin is feeling firmer, smoother and I love waking up knowing I will have a hint of radiance!

It layers well in my skincare routine and leaves the perfect smooth base for easy makeup application. A lightweight gentle cream which is comfortable on my skin leaving no oily or sticky residue and causing no irritation – a great option for those with sensitive skin. The Hydrogel Cream is a hydration hero suitable for all skin types, a fab lightweight option through the warmer months and just as beneficial during the Winter. Is it worth the hype? In my opinion absolutely I am already on my second!

The Hydrogel Cream (£25.00) is available from Honest Beauty, Cult Beauty* and Boots. Internationally available from Target* and Ulta*.
