I love it when I get to try new brands and as a big fan of French skincare I knew I was in for a treat when the Dr Renaud Intensive Purifying Youth Cream arrived. Few French skincare brands are cruelty free so I always feel a bit giddy when I come across one, keep reading to find out more!

Prioritising effective skincare alongside the ritual of an enjoyable skincare experience the textures and scents are carefully selected, it all sounds wonderful doesn’t it!
Packaged in a beautiful midnight blue glass jar which feels luxuriously weighty and looks beautiful on my vanity. The jar pops open easily to reveal the beautiful rich texture of the Youth Cream and its delicate peony scent, it is the closest I can get to opening Spring in a jar!
What the Intensive Purifying Youth Cream Promises:

- Peony Flower Stem Cell Extracts – a natural antioxidant will moisturise and soothe your skin
- Silica Powder – encourages collagen production which in turn will improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Zincidone – helps to regulate and reduce skin sebum
- Vitamin B6 – helps to reduce hormonal acne, appearance of redness and inflammation
- Vitamin E Acetate – helps to strengthen the skin barrier and protect the skin from environmental factors
I love how good the cream feels, silky smooth with no greasiness it instantly refreshes my skin. A beautiful lightweight texture it absorbs quickly delivering a needed boost of hydration whilst plumping my skin. It revitalises my skin leaving it looking smooth and healthy with a I’ve been getting my eight hours sleep (I wish!) natural glow. Nourishing and soothing it has been effective at relieving areas of dryness and irritation whilst calming my hormonal breakouts leaving my complexion looking even. It layers well in my skincare routine and works beautifully under my makeup giving me a smooth canvas to work with.
I love the calm spa feeling I get from this cream, from its luxurious lightweight texture to its beautiful fresh scent it feels a real indulgence. I enjoy popping an extra layer on as an overnight mask in the evening to wake up with healthy plump skin. Although the texture is lightweight the formula is nourishing enough to benefit the skin through the colder and warmer months, perfect if you prefer a lighter consistency from your moisturisers. A beautiful cream which is delight to use, I am looking forward to exploring more from Docteur Renaud, its a Tres Bien from me!
