As a serum addict I was so excited when Apothaka launched the new Barrier Defence AOX Serum. Their Barrier Support Serum has a permanent home on my shelf, I adore it. I had high hopes it would join my essential collection. Keep reading for all the details!

Apothaka are experts in supporting and strengthening our skin barriers health. What makes the Barrier Defence AOX Serum so exciting is the Stabilised Vitamin C Derivative in its formula. A more skin friendly and tolerant form which sensitive skins will appreciate.

The Barrier Defence AOX Serum comes in a black recyclable bottle with an air pump dispenser. The pump is easy to use and keeps all the ingredients at optimum levels preventing oxidisation.

What The Barrier Defence AOX Serum Promises:

  • Support and strengthen a healthy skin barrier
  • Soothe and calm irritated skin
  • Protect the skin from environmental factors
  • Suitable for all skin types

Key Ingredients

Jam packed full of antioxidants to protect and support healthy skin the formula includes:

  • Encapsulated ascorbyl tetraiospalmitate- a stablislised Vitamin C Derivative which will brighten your skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles
  • White Tea Extract – a potent antioxidant which protects your skin from environmental factors
  • Chai Seed Extract – rich in antioxidants it helps to soothe and hydrate your skin

The formula is fragrance and essential oil free.

The AOX Barrier Support Serum is juicy orange in colour and silky smooth to touch. The perfect fluid consistency it has a non sticky formula. As a result the serum glides on evenly and absorb beautifully into the skin. I find two pumps is my preferred amount. Once applied it has an instant cooling and calming effect, noticeably on areas which are irritated. Immediately my skin is smoother and feels super soft. Through continual use my skin is looking brighter, even toned and feels healthier and firmer.

All skin types will appreciate the mild and non irritating formula. The stabilised Vitamin C derivative is a blessing for those whose skin is not tolerant of acids (do patch test first!).  It layers beautifully and compliments products I am using. For a real skin barrier boost mix with a drop of my fave Skin Barrier Support Serum and your skin will get all the nourishment it needs. A gentle and effective skin loving serum from Apothaka which will compliment any skincare routine. It is a keeper!
