Rare Beauty have certainly caught my attention this year and if there is one product I regularly empty it is a mascara, a daily essential for many of us. I couldn’t wait to open the Perfect Strokes mascara and had high expectations. If you are looking for a long lasting mascara keep reading!
The Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Mascara comes in an elegant beige tube which is lightweight making it great to pop in your handbag. It is available in mini and full size which personally I think is great. A mini is not only great for travel but also a great way to try for the first time, which is what I have done!

Before and After
The Perfect Strokes Mascara is richly pigmented and gives my lashes an even black coat in seconds. I quickly have lengthened and lifted lashes with minimal effort on my part. The wand is flexible and defines and separates my lashes beautifully thanks to the varying bristle lengths. It reaches those cheeky inner corner lashes easily giving my eyes a wide awake look instantly. The wand holds a lot of product which personally I found a great time saver but do go lightly if you prefer to gradually build. I experienced no clumping and once set it hasn’t transferred or flaked. Unlike many mascaras it doesn’t feel stiff and is so light I often forget I am wearing it!
This is a buildable mascara however I found it does dry relatively quickly so do layer swiftly for a more intense look. I love how long lasting it is and has survived many beach days which has been great. It gives my lashes a natural thicker appearance which is perfect for my everyday preference. If you prefer more volume you will need to add a couple of layers. It removes easily at the end of the day with my cleansing balm and doesn’t require excess scrubbing which is always an essential. A lovely mascara for a natural flutter which lasts and even better comes in travel size!
