It has been some time since we have had an eyeshadow collection from Charlotte Tilbury. Patience has paid off and the Charlotte Tilbury Palette of Beautifying Eye Trends comes in six colour stories. Even more exciting the formulas have had an upgrade and include new matte, shimmer and pop finishes. My magpie eye was mesmerised and I had to see the new formulas for myself. If you are looking for a one eyeshadow palette that does it all this could be what you have been missing!

The Palette of Beautifying Eye Trends are a limited edition collection. Before we continue lets address the packaging which has caused quite the controversy on line. If you are a long time Charlotte Tilbury user the clear plastic lid may have caught you off guard. I love my high end makeup packaging to feel luxurious. However now I have the palette it is much better than I first thought. The base is still weighty and the luxurious packaging we are familiar with from Charlotte Tilbury. The clear plastic lid is sturdy and doesn’t feel cheap. This collection has been created with makeup artists in mind as well as being user friendly for non MUA’s. The palette not having a mirror is not a deal breaker for me and this is also less reflected in the lower price.

Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadows have been in my makeup bag for years. After using the online shade matcher I opted for Super Neutral, the cool toned browns and golds are easily shades I wear daily. What I love the most is the versality of the palette, the shades compliment each other beautifully. As a result is is so easy to put together looks for any occasion. It is a palette I know I will use all the shades from and don’t need to add in another to complete a look, it’s all there! I have always found Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadows to be user friendly and flattering on my eyelids. Honestly I didn’t think they could improve but they have had an upgrade!

Silky smooth, buttery and easy to use the eyeshadows are great if you are a beginner or pro. The Mattes blend seamlessly with minimal effort on my part. They almost do all of the hard work for you which is great. I love how finely milled the shadows are which as a result leaves a smooth and even colour on my lids which is also buildable. The satins are stunning and ridiculously soft and flattering. My personal favourites the crystal pops brighten the eye and add some elegant sparkle which can of course be layered for more impact. I recommend going lightly and building up colours to your preferred intensity. Once applied there is very minimal fall out and they wear beautifully all day without creasing or fading. Overall these are beautiful eyeshadow palettes which will see you through any occasion, simply pop on some Exagger-Eyes Mascara and you’re all set! I hope they become a permanent addition!
