I do love a smooth base for my makeup and hands up I admit I have quite a collection of primers! I am always on the look out for a new must have and quickly put the Revolution Pro Hydra Matte Primer to the test!

The Hydra Matte Primer has a lightweight fluid consistency which feels silky and smooth when applied to my skin, I find one pump is the perfect amount! It instantly feels refreshing and once absorbed leaves my skin feeling beautifully soft. If you do not enjoy the tacky feeling many primers can leave on your skin you will enjoy how quickly this absorbs, it leaves my complexion lovely and smooth – the perfect base for my daily makeup. The finish is a natural demi-matte as opposed to a full matte, it has a subtle hint of natural sheen which if you are a regular reader you will know my love of a dewy finish and I have been pleasantly surprised by how much I am enjoying using this!
I have been using the Hydra Matte Primer for four weeks and love how easily my makeup glides on, it has a slight plumping effect on my skin which I enjoy and have noticed prevents my makeup from settling into my fine lines which is always a bonus! It has a light scent, if you are not a fragrance fan it does not linger nor has it caused my skin any irritation. This primer plays well with others, I have tried many of my favourite bases both liquid and powder on top and love the smooth even finish I can achieve. I love the boost of hydration it gives my skin and often wear it alone on no makeup days to give my complexion a lift! A kind and gentle formula which will work for all skin types especially if you prefer a demi-matte finish.
