Lipstick Love – Lavera Limited Edition Organic Lipstick

Lips without lipstick are like cake without icing

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful time and has a beautiful 2020! I am really enjoying a pop of colour these winter days to make my lips look healthy and keep them protected from the elements. I was gifted the limited edition Lavera Organic Lipstick in Pink Pastel and could not wait to try it as it is my go to colour!

Pink Pastel

The Lavera limited edition organic lipsticks come in beautiful sustainable lilac packaging. The outer packaging Is made from cardboard to reduce environmental impact which I think is great and hope more companies begin to take this approach. The packaging is sturdy (it survives my Mary Poppins handbag which is no mean feat!) and is lightweight which is perfect for travel, it looks pretty too – an all round win!

Sustainable Packaging

This lipstick promises to be soft and moisturising on the lips with a high pigment payoff. It contains:

  • Natural pigments for long lasting colour
  • Organic Blossom Butter to moisturise the lips
Swatch of Pink Pastel

Pink Pastel is a lovely warm pink shade, I love how it brightens up my complexion on these cold days! The lipstick has a classic bullet shape for easy and precise application. The formula glides on my lips like a dream, easy and effortless! In one swipe I have an even application and a lovely smooth colour pay off. It is a highly pigmented lipstick and I found it easy to build the colour to my preferred finish. The lipstick did not bleed or feather and leaves a lovely cream finish on my lips.

Wearing Pink Petal

The formula is comfortable to wear and feels lovely and moisturising. It is fairly long lasting, as with cream finishes I do reapply a couple of times in the day although I do not mind at all as it feels so nourishing on my lips leaving them feeling soft and protected in this cold weather! I love seeing this pop of colour in my handbag a touch of spring in winter!

There are three shades available in the Lavera limited edition range (£13.90) available at Pravera.

  1. Wow I love the colour! This sounds like the perfect lipstick 😍 I’ve always wondered if a lipstick’s packaging could be made from cardboard so am pleased to have finally found out the answer too!
