Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish Review

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish in Fair

Magic Vanish is the new colour corrector from Charlotte Tilbury’s which launched alongside the eagerly anticipated Airbrush Flawless Finish Foundation (review coming soon!). I have quite a bit of blue discolouration under my eyes, especially after a sleepless night with the kids (what mum doesn’t! I expect this to last for the next 18 years…..) and some redness so I had high hopes these could be disguised without the cakey appearance I get from some products.

Magic Vanish comes in the most darling compact, in the classic rose gold Charlotte Tilbury packaging with a lovely mirror inside making it perfect for touch ups if needed. I love this light compact which contains 2.5g of product and fits perfectly in my handbag. Magic Vanish comes in four shades – fair, medium, tan and deep, I went with the fair shade.

Magic Ingredients

Magic Vanish contains some great ingredients:

  • Mica – to brighten the skin
  • Flavonoids – to disguise under-eye bags.
  • Microspheres – for a natural finish
  • Carnauba Wax – for a silky-smooth application.

The formula is lovely, a light creamy texture that feels like butter and blends beautifully on the skin.

Is it Magic?

I have been using Magic Vanish for over a week now and have been really enjoying it, it stays put all day which is great! I have been applying Magic Vanish under my eyes, where I have redness and on any spots that decide to unwelcomely appear overnight. You can build a lovely coverage easily and thankfully I have not experienced any of the unwanted cakey texture that often sneaks in around the middle of the afternoon under my eyes. This covers redness easily and quickly, I love it when a product evens your skin tone quickly! My under eye bags and dark circles have reduced in appearance making it look as though I have had a blissful nights sleep, my morning caffeine helps me feel as awake as I look!

I use both a brush and my fingers to apply it and it works just as well either way, whichever is your preference. I prefer to use my fingers for speed on the nursery run!

Magic Vanish applied under eye/no product under eye (it was a tired looking day!)

Once I have applied Magic Vanish I use my concealer and find I am using less than I would normally to cover any remaining discolouration and brighten areas that need it. I am really happy with Magic Vanish and will continue using it.

Magic Vanish is available directly from Charlotte Tilbury and retail stockists rrp £24.00
