Charlotte Tilbury Makeover Review

For my recent birthday my lovely other half surprised me with a makeover at my local Charlotte Tilbury counter. A child free hour and best of all the cost for the experience is redeemable against any purchases, I was really surprised and excited that he thought of it! I went to my appointment with high expectations (it is Charlotte Tilbury!) and an open mind as I was keen to see what products would be suggested for me.

My makeup artist was the lovely Lauren Cambridge from the John Lewis store in Bluewater, she instantly put me at ease and was happy to discuss different looks and ideas with me, advising what products would benefit my skin.

The products used during my makeover

Lauren began by giving me the most wonderful face massage using Charlottes Magic Cream, I could have fallen asleep it relaxed me so much. If someone could come to my home and give me a face massage every morning that would be fab! I prefer a dewy look I always feel a matte finish ages me (I need no help in that department!) and opted for Light Wonder Foundation as I am already a fan of its light coverage and healthy glow finish. Magic Away Concealer disguised my under eye bags and a light dusting of Airbrush Flawless Finish was applied to set my cheeky problem prone areas.

Exagger Eyes palette look

To make my eyes pop and brighten ExaggerEyes, a beautiful rose gold eyeshadow quad was applied (this has been on my wish list for months!) A coat of Legendary Lashes completed the look, I admit I was dubious about trying this mascara as Full Fat Lashes did not work for me. I was pleasantly surprised that Legendary Lashes lasted all day with no flaking.

Next was Filmstar Bronze and Glow, another product I have admired from afar. This gave me the most delicate natural bronze (perfect for my fair skin) and candlelit glow, it honestly appeared as though I had applied an instagram filter to my face. Lauren applied Chic to Cheek blush in First Love, a colour I would never have considered and absolutely adore, it gives a natural hint of colour to the cheeks brightening my complexion.

I am a huge fan of a nude lip but went for a bold in Walk of Shame which will be perfect now the weather is starting to change.

The finished look, with less lipstick after lunch!

Throughout my appointment Lauren advised me of application tips and tricks, happily answering any questions I had. Her passion and knowledge for the brand shone through and she was happy to provide me with a list of products used to take away with me. She genuinely wanted to ensure I was happy with all the products she suggested and my finished look.

The cost of the makeover (£55) is redeemable against purchases, I chose Filmstar Bronze and Glow and Cheek to Chic in First Love.

I had high expectations for my makeover and was not disappointed, I loved the finished look! I would recommend the magic experience to all!
