Lipstick Love – Bareminerals BarePro Longwear Lipstick Review

If you are sad, add more lipstick and attack!

Coco Chanel

I have always been a little wary of matte lipsticks and how drying some formulas can be on my lips regardless of how much lip balm I have on before I apply them. Thankfully so many of the matte formulas I have come across recently are kinder to my lips! The Bareminerals BarePro Longwear lipsticks are one of the most gentle formulas I have in my collection.

Bareminerals Barepro Longwearing Lipstick

There is a great range of 20 shades in the collection, as a fan of a natural lip I picked up Petal a beautiful rose pink. Barepro lipsticks promise to:

  • Be long wearing staying in place for 8 hours
  • Smudge-proof
  • Transfer-proof
  • Fade and Feather resistant
Sleek Black Packaging

The black packaging is sleek and minimalist housing a slim bullet which I found made application easy and effortless, great for on the go!

Swatch of Petal

The colour pay off in these lipsticks is fantastic, one swipe and I have a perfect pop of colour! The slim bullet gives me an even application every time, no patchiness here! The colour does not bleed or smudge which is always a winner for me as I do not always have the time for lip liner! Once the formula has dried down (ten minutes is my personal preference to leave it to settle) the colour does not move – no evidence is left on my coffee cup or my little cheeky monkeys faces!

Wearing Petal

The Barepro lipsticks feel so nourishing on my lips I have experienced no dryness at all which is a big bonus for me! The formula is so comfortable to wear giving a lovely soft finish, it feels more creamy than I expected which was a welcome surprise! I have found the lipstick to be long wearing fading slightly to have a more blotted appearance as the day goes on, I like to reapply to reboost the vibrancy of the colour, a late afternoon pick me up!

I love how comfortable and longlastaing the Barepro lipstick is, it gives the perfect amount of colour with little effort and has taken up residence in my handbag!

BarePro Longwear lipsticks (rrp £20.00) are available directly from Bareminerals and retail stockists.

  1. I love these kind of shades such a natural finish I really like. I too sometimes struggle with matt formulas as can be too drying. This lippy seems worth the price tag and plus if it will last me a shift at work without re-application as I don’t have time for that on busy days this sounds perfect! Love the swatch too, very pretty. Bare Minerals is a very good brand in general though xx
