New season, new launches and a welcome one is the new Vieve Icon Mascara. The second mascara from well loved Jamie Genevieves brand it promises more volume, length and lift. I have been wearing it since it arrived, keep reading for my review!
Packaged in a weighty and luxurious golden tube which Vieve is known for. The Icon Mascara is a welcome addition to the Vieve collection. Joining the original Modern Mascara I would describe Icon Mascara as its big sister, giving more. More volume, definition and length whilst still maintaining the longevity and comfort of the Modern Mascara.
What the Vieve Icon Mascara Promises:
- To lift, volumise, curl and define the lashes
- A flexible and soft formula which is easy to build
- Long wearing and mascara leaving a deep and glossy black finish
- A nourishing formula including Argan Oil, Castor Seed Oil and Vitamin B5 to condition and soften the lashes whilst form-forming polymer helps lashes to hold their curl.

The Wand
The large spiral brush is perfect for creating fanned out, lifted and volumised lashes. Shorter and longer bristles combined ensure it captures and coats every lash evenly.

How does it compare to the Modern Mascara?
If you enjoy Modern Mascara but sometimes wish you could have more impact then Icon Mascara is perfect. Modern Mascara is ideal if you prefer a more natural looking lash, however if you want more drama reach for Icon Mascara.
Review
It’s not often I get surprised by a mascara but the impact is instant! One swipe instantly gives my lashes drama. The brush itself is lightweight and easily captures and separates my lashes giving them an even and defined coat. As a result it doesn’t clump which is fantastic. The formula itself is lightweight and incredibly easy to apply and build for more impact. Even better once set it doesn’t transfer, smudge or flake. My lashes are left feeling comfortable and soft all day long which is fantastic!
Quickly my lashes have more length, volume and lift – a true false lash effect without the falsies! The deep jet black pigment is dramatic but I still feel I can wear it every day. I found it incredibly easy to remove using my normal cleanser and noticed how soft my lashes felt after. A really nourishing and conditioning formula which is improving my lash health every time I use it. I didn’t expect to love Icon Mascara as much as I do and haven’t put it down!
